It’s an exciting time in Fort Dodge! We are celebrating our first year returning as a nationally accredited Main Street Community. Main Street America has undergone a refresh-process that brings new ideas to the Main Street world and Fort Dodge is embracing the transformation strategies to help business and building owners prosper in downtown Fort Dodge.

With our new program we are developing new activities and events outside our public projects as a Self-supporting Municipal District. Our founding investors have made some new programs possible this year including the Better Block Project, Lunch on the Square and live interviews with Main Street businesses.

Every dollar invested in Main Street Fort Dodge goes directly into supporting our mission to continually strengthen Fort Dodge as a great place to live, shop, work, and celebrate. in the community by connecting area businesses, building community partnerships, and inviting residents and visitors to shop and explore Lucas County.

All of Main Street Fort Dodge’s accomplishments are built on the creativity and hard work of our volunteers, dedication of our board of directors, and generous investors. We are stronger and more sustainable because together we are creating a dynamic downtown that is ready to embrace the future.
