Main Street Fort Dodge is collecting high-quality photos that celebrate our downtown and Main Street Iowa's 40th Anniversary in 2026. A minimum of $25 per selected image will be paid for the rights to the photograph. Preference will be given to photographers providing multiple images and located within the Main Street Fort Dodge district boundaries.

What we’re looking for

Subject matter: Event images, volunteers in action, beautification efforts, building projects, business support activities, streetscapes showing people, and other scenes that reflect The Four Point Main Street Approach shown below. 

Before and after: For any building improvement submissions, include a clear before and after photo (either portrait or landscape; you do not need both). No collages.

Image versions: Consider submitting both portrait and landscape versions of select images.

Technical requirements

Resolution: High resolution at 300 dpi, minimum 2000 x 2000 pixels.

Clean files: Photos must be free of labels, borders, timestamps, or any on-photo text.

File types: Submit high-resolution JPEG or TIFF files.

How to submit

Send email single files to marketing@mainstreetfd.org or send an email with other file specifications.

Include: Your name, photo location, and a short caption describing the scene.

Deadline: Please submit by January 22, 2026; photographers will be notified of inclusion in the project by January 30.
