Volunteerism

Volunteering is an unpaid act by an individual or group giving time and labor for community service. In its five-year history, Main Street Fort Dodge has been the beneficiary of nearly 17,000 hours of volunteer time- that’s the equivalent of 425 regular work weeks! Our volunteers help serve Lunch on Central, host downtown clean-up days, and brainstorm ideas for streetscape improvements.

Community input is important to our mission of reclaiming the purpose and prosperity of the downtown. Leadership in areas of planning, event management, financial oversight, digital communication, and even beautification is important. We ask that if you have a special interest in any of these areas or can provide direction in helping Main Street become even more vital to our economic base, please reach out via phone: 515-573-3172 or by email info@mainstreetfd.org.
