Downtown Cleanup Events

The second Downtown Cleanup event of the year is coming up! From sweeping sidewalks to pulling weeds, picking up litter, and refreshing public spaces, Main Street Fort Dodge cleanup events bring people together with one common goal: making downtown look welcoming, clean, and ready to enjoy.

Preparing for Big Events

These volunteer efforts are especially important as downtown gears up for major events. In May, the events were the first Summer Fest followed by the Frontier Days Parade. In August, the clean

up event precedes Spin Markket’s new Small Business Celebration on August 6 and the return of Downtown Country Jam on August 8.

Join Us for the Downtown Summer Cleanup

Volunteers will meet outside the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Building at 4 p.m. to sign in and be assigned an area to help spruce up. Please bring your own gloves and/or a pick-up tool. We will have a limited supply of gloves, brooms, and dustpans available for volunteers who need them.
