Expo is next in entrepreneurs series

April 27 resource fair is open to the public

An Entrepreneurial Expo will be the next event in the IGNITE Entrepreneurs Series in Fort Dodge.

The expo will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 27 in the Bioscience and Health Sciences Building at Iowa Central Community College.

This will be a resource fair for all businesses to learn about the resources and opportunities in the region.

The event is open to the public.

Other upcoming events in the IGNITE Entrepreneurs Series include a Smart Start class on May 23 and an IGNITE Vendor Fair on June 25. A SPARK Your Business contest will be held as part of the fair.

Main Street Fort Dodge received a $2,000 Main Street America US Bank grant in November to pay for the IGNITE Entrepreneurs Series.

”We want to identify all the entrepreneurs in the community as much as possible and create a support network,” said Kris Patrick, executive director of Main Street Fort Dodge.

She said anyone ”who has a spark and an idea to build a business, create a product or provide services to other people” is an entrepreneur.
